On arrival at your premises, we will first inspect the floor to understand what type of wood you have and how best to restore or repair it. We will talk you through the whole process and give a you a schedule of the work we will do.
We inspect the floor, punch nails down and fill any nail holes and then the sanding work begins. Modern sanding machines have inbuilt extraction which removes the majority of dust as it is created, so while there may be a small amount of residual dust to clean up, floor sanding is not the messy, dusty process it used to be.
Sanding your floors enables you to fully restore them at a fraction of the price of a full replacement. If your floor is only slightly scuffed and scratched only a recoat may be required. However, for deep scratches, indentations and heavy damage the floor will need to be sanded right back. Our sanding machine will quickly and efficiently remove any old varnish and coatings and will sand out scratches and indentations.
Once the floor is completely sanded and even, we finish off with a fine sanding paper to ensure your floor is ready for coating.

Once the floors are prepared, we vacuum any remaining dust, then finish your floors with a three-coat system. You can select from a variety of finishes including an eco water-based finish, solvent based or oil-based finishes. You can also select from matt or various levels of gloss finish and we can advise you on how to select the right finish to create the look you desire.
Our three-coat system starts with a sealer coat, to seal the pores in the wood and is followed by two top coats. Two layers of topcoat provide a hard, durable surface which will help protect the floor and will withstand years of wear and tear.
